Sustainable shipping packaging, minus the green paint.

Foldveil makes compostable mailers, paper cushioning and mono-material shippers for growing DTC brands — at MOQs sized for a first test order, with claims you could hand to a regulator.

Digital-print samples in 5–7 days · production 15–25 days · quotes include full-container load counts, not just unit price.

Claims policy

We only claim what we can document.

Certification status depends on the specific partner factory that runs your order, so we verify it per factory and per production run — and share certificate numbers with your quote. Until a certificate number exists, we won't call a product compostable, recycled, or anything else we can't prove. No “eco-friendly” stickers here.

What we make

Start with the format your parcels actually need.

Three families, each made to your spec — size, print and film weight are yours to choose. Mixed sizes can count toward one MOQ; ask.

Compostable mailers

PLA+PBAT film or paper-based mailers for brands that want the parcel to end in a compost stream — with the certificate number to back the word on the bag.

Paper cushioning

Honeycomb wrap, paper void fill and paper tape — the straight swap for bubble wrap when you're moving to a single, kerbside-recyclable material stream.

Mono-material mailers

100% recycled PE or all-paper shippers. One material, one recycling stream — the simplest route to a good PPWR recyclability grade for EU-bound parcels.

How we think about a parcel, drawn out

Concept studies from our own drawing board — dielines, print approaches and material choices for imagined briefs. None of these are client projects; when we have real ones, they'll say so.

Concept study: full-bleed compostable mailer for a skincare DTC brand

Full-coverage flexo on PLA+PBAT film without losing the compostability certification path — ink coverage, seal-strip placement and a disposal-instruction panel sized for a 260 × 350 mm mailer.

Concept study: mono-material shipper for an EU-bound apparel brand

A 100% recycled PE mailer specced for a clean PPWR recyclability story: one polymer, one print system, and a size cut to the folded-garment grid to stop shipping air.

Low MOQ, in practice

A first order of 500–5,000 units is our normal, not an exception.

Big plants quote you politely and never call back. Here's exactly how an order unfolds with us — four folds, no surprises.

Send your specs

Size, quantity, print — that's all we need to quote. Have a dieline? Even better. Don't? We'll draw one with you.

Quote with container math

Packaging ships by volume, not weight. Your quote includes cartons-per-pallet and full-container load counts, so freight doesn't eat the savings.

Sample in 5–7 days

Digital-print sample in 5–7 days; the sample fee is credited to your first order. Pantone targets confirmed in writing before any press runs.

Produce and ship

Production typically 15–25 days, sea freight to EU/US around 30–40 days. Promised dates include buffer — we'd rather beat them.

Regulation, translated

PPWR is the deadline. Consider this the homework.

  • The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation starts applying on 2026-08-12, replacing the old directive with rules that bind in every member state.
  • It pushes packaging minimisation, recyclability grading, and restrictions on certain plastic formats — which is why EU-bound brands are re-sourcing packaging right now.
  • As your supplier, we provide the compliance technical documentation your EU obligations require, alongside the packaging itself.
  • In the US, state EPR programs (California, Oregon, Colorado and more) are phasing in reporting duties with fees tied to recyclability.

EN 13432 vs ASTM D6400: which certificate does your market need?

The EU and US test to different standards. Selling into both? You may need both.

Compostable vs biodegradable: the label that can get you fined

“Biodegradable” without a standard behind it is a greenwashing claim in several jurisdictions. Here's the safe wording.

Who reports, what counts as covered material, and where recyclability changes your fees.

Three things get you a real number.

Quotes move fastest when we have the essentials. Everything else — material advice, print setup, freight math — is our job.
